Despite spending more time at crash gate 3 than he did at school, he managed to graduate with a 1st class degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and a PhD in digital video compression. Lee subsequently made his career in Telecommunications, where he specialises in cyber security, fraud, and risk management.

Bill fell in love with Lightning422 when he visited the team while on a business trip to New Orleans. So much so that he immediately decided he wanted to be part of the team. His energy and enthusiasm for all things British will give the project a new dimension.
Retired BAE Systems/RAF Engineer, Maintenance Manager with BAE on the Eurofighter Typhoon at RAF Coningsby, previously Maintenance Manager for No32 (The Royal) Squadron and retired from the RAF in 2007 after a 31year Active-Duty career. Phil has 12 years on the Lightning active service, Tornado (All Mk’s) and also a training specialist. 35 years of Lightning Preservation experience.
William Ward is a 27,000 hour pilot and has flown 180+ aircraft ranging from gliders, WW1 and WW2 aircraft to Mach 2 fighters. Will performed in the low altitude aerobatic environment for 17 years with the Mig-17F and Mig-21MF and UM. Will's passion for the E.E. Lightning was ignited in 1969 when he saw his first model of a Lightning and

Will is currently a Capt. on the Airbus 320, flies aerobatics and is an avid collector of aviation art and books. He also recently completed a MES on the Beech 18 and hopes to pursue the challenge of flying other Warbirds and aerobatic aircraft.
Will also lead his UND Flying Team to a first place finish in national competition as well as receiving several safety awards, DG awards and recognition for excellence at the airlines. He has also had the privilege of flying the F-100 Super Sabre as well as the F-104 Starfighter.
Will joined the RAF in April 2002. Coincidentally, he was trained to fly by a former Lightning pilot & Wing Commander of 5 Sqn, Andy Williams. Will then went to fly Hawks, Harriers, and the Eurofighter Typhoon. Will is currently a test pilot on exchange with the US (navy), flying F16s out of Eglin air force base.
Virgin Airlines Category C licenced engineer with type ratings on the Airbus A340 & A360 and an also specialist on the Boeing 747. Dave is also a lead engineer with the Gatwick Aviation Museum (GAM) and along with the rest of his team fully restored an ex RSAF Lightning F53 to ground running condition. Dave has over 20 years of Lightning preservation experience.
Retired RAF active-duty propulsion systems specialist, aircraft platforms maintained include Meteor, Hunter, Shackleton, Lightning, Tornado. Engine test bed team leader/specialist on the RB199 Engine. 10 years’ experience on the Lightning in service carrying out major overhauls on the type and 15+ years associated with XS422.
Ex RAF electrical systems specialist having served with the Lightning force at RAF Binbrook on the Lighting Training Flight (LTF) specialising in the T5 variant. Simon has led the electrical systems refurbishment and been part of the team for 20+ years. Simon lives in Detroit, Michigan.
Ex RAF active-duty electrical systems specialist with 22+ years in service supporting the Lightning on LTF and the Tornado forces both in the UK and abroad. Kelvin was formerly a training specialist for the Tornado, and is also an IT specialist.
Ex RAF active-duty propulsion systems specialist with 22 years’ service, maintaining both the Lightning and the Harrier forces in the UK and abroad. Steve carried out major overhauls of the Lightnings at RAF Binbrook for several years.
